V-Rock Festival 2009
I have heard about this a bit when D'espairsRay decided to participate, but now that even the GazettE are in I became more curious and decided to see what is this V-ROCK FESTIVAL 09.
So overall it is going to be a huge Visual Rock festival in Japan with over 50 different artists and not just from Japan but from USA and Finland also being like that the most biggest Visual kei/rock festival ever held anywhere in the world. Now that is something wouldn't you agree? Among the top acts of the festival are the GazettE and Marylin Manson (bet you didn't see that coming).
The lineup also includes (bolded are my favorites): ALI PROJECT, BREAKERZ, D'espairsRay, DuelJewel, ドレミ團 (Doremi Dan), the GazettE, heidi., イロクイ。(Irokui), Kagrra,, LOVEX (from Finland), Marilyn Manson (from USA), メリー (Merry), Moi dix Mois, NEGATIVE (also from Finland), PENICILLIN, Sadie, SuG, SOHODOLLS (from the UK), 高見沢俊彦 （BAND MEMBER：Gt:ルーク篁/ANCHANG/KOJI）(Kouken taku shungen?), 土屋アンナ (Tsuchiya Anna), Versailles, ヴィドール (Vidoll), ViViD... and more to come and confirm.
The festival will take place in Makuhari Messe on 24-25-10.2009.
I find this foreign and Japanese Visual rock concept very interesting and a great move to somehow widthen the boarders and concept of Visual Rock, so I am really lookin forward to how this will develop. Most of all I am glad the GazettE will finally (probably) have contact with other bands beside their own strict, closed-minded label (unless PSC decides to repell them from making social contacts) and see what kind of music they make and similar. I am also eager to see the reactions/thoughts of the foriegn acts about Visual Kei bands, so yep, this is gonna be cool. Shame that I have to live thousands of miles away from Japan.

However, I'm wondering how this is all going to work since it means each band will have a very short time to play [besides the headliners]...not to mention it must be costly to get international artists to play, attend...though most likely the possible turnout will more than make up for it.
Wow, I'm still amazed...at how much potential this festival has at bringing international and Japanese acts together. I know a lot of VK bands are going to be really excited at the prospect of sharing a stage with Marilyn Manson and I'm also rather interested at seeing the reactions of them to him/international acts and vice-versa, lol. XD [I'm reminded of the IMF Jrock video where a band member from Merry mentioned how he went to one of Manson's shows in Japan and found his stage performance to be very inspiring. XD]
...Perhaps the festival will even be big enough that I'll hear whispers of it on MTV World Stage even as far away as here... <-- *wishful thinking*
